At Folx Patrol, my mission is to give you information so you can make the best, most informed decision about which supplies and equipment will help you keep your parents safe and make your life easier. As a Registered Nurse, I’ve led and participated in countless professional research studies over the course of my career and apply the same methods and rigor to the products I recommend. I reference clinical studies on sites like PubMed, trusted industry resources like the National Institute on Aging, and trusted review sites like Consumer Reports and Wirecutter to ensure that my recommendations reflect both my personal experience with the products as well as the experience of the broader healthcare community.

Even though this is my passion, it is still a job. It costs money to run Folx Patrol so I can write articles, shoot video and stay connected through my social media communities. In order to keep Folx Patrol up and going, I have affiliate relationships with various companies and partner sites as detailed below.

HOW AFFILIATE RELATIONSHIPS WORK

In short, I create referral links that direct you from Folx Patrol to my partner sites. These links don’t cost you any money. Instead, they let my partners know that you came from my website. That, in turn, allows me to earn a commission for the sale. I have an affiliate program–or relationship with third-party sites like Amazon for nearly every product on this site. The reason I tell you this is because I want to make you aware that this is how I make money. In some cases, companies may send me products to review for free. All this said, I do not make any guarantees to these companies that I will conduct a review or that I will review the product favorably.

With this in mind, I only recommend products that I would personally use or recommend to someone with needs that were different from my own. I do not recommend products simply because they will make me money. There are plenty of examples of products that I have recommended that are not sold though one of my affiliate partners and don’t pay me for the referral.
